Start with a map of your visit
When comparing Istanbul hotels, locate the places you intend to visit first. Sultanahmet, Galata and Taksim provide starting points for researching different areas and itineraries; then inspect each property’s exact address. If most appointments are in one area, do not let the room photograph pull you away from the plan. Compare the airport-to-property journey and the journeys you will make during the stay, taking luggage and your travelling group into account.
Turn requirements into specific questions
Ask about entrance steps, lifts and access to the room category you intend to book. A general property description may not apply to every room, and a walking route may not suit a stroller or heavy luggage. If quiet matters, ask about room placement and whether that request can be confirmed. Record the essential answers alongside the offer reference before paying. Do not infer suitability from an unverified hotel rating.
Compare rooms for the same group
Keep dates, room type, occupancy, breakfast and payment terms consistent when comparing offers. Enter child ages as requested and ask about any extra-bed charge. Connecting rooms and special requests do not become confirmed simply because you type them into a notes field. Get written confirmation for requirements you cannot travel without and distinguish an optional request from an included feature. A property-wide photograph should not replace the details of your selected room.

Match the stay to the flight timing
Review arrival and departure times alongside your accommodation dates. Ask about late check-in and luggage storage if needed, without assuming either is free or available. Moving a flight by one day may add a night and change the overall budget. Include the first fixed appointment and the last planned activity in your comparison, so the flight and room support the same journey. If bookings are separate, a flight change does not automatically alter the hotel contract.
Read the total and cancellation conditions
Record the currency, final amount, separately payable fees or deposits, cancellation deadline and the stated time zone. Review no-show terms and when payment is collected. A flexible room and a non-refundable room are different offers even if the photographs match. This page does not publish hotel ratings, prices, discounts or live availability. Save confirmation and know who supports the booking
